MEMBERSHIP >>>>
Cub Scouting is open to all boys in Grades 1-5. When new Scouts join a Cub Scout Pack they are assigned to a Den separated by school-grade levels: Tiger Cubs (first-graders), Wolf Cub Scouts (2nd graders), Bear Cub Scouts (3rd Graders), and Webelos Scouts (4th & 5th graders).
WHERE & WHEN WE MEET >>>>
We meet at 6:30pm on Wednesday nights at …
PLEASE NOTE >> Our monthly Pack Meetings are generally held at the Cabrillo Youth Waterfront Sports Center at 3000 Shoshonean Road, San Pedro CA 90731, NOT at Mary Star. Please check our CALENDAR for the dates of both our Den and Pack Meetings to insure you’ll be able to find us.
VOLUNTEER LEADERSHIP >>>>
Our all-volunteer team of leaders, both men and women, are deeply committed to making our Pack program a success. They serve in a variety of positions – everything from Pack & Den Leaders to Parent Committee Members. These volunteers work to provide a suitable meeting place, adult leadership, supervision, support materials and opportunities for a healthy Scouting life for the boys. We hope you’ll join us!
COSTS INVOLVED >>>>
Our Pack has Annual Dues of $125.00 per Scout for Oct. – June. If a lump sum payment isn’t convenient, payment plans can be worked out with the Pack Treasurer if needed. These dues cover the costs for the boys’ badges and awards, supplies for the Den and Pack Meetings, leader training classes as well as the majority of entrance fees for the Scout associated with a field trip type event. (i.e. If the Pack went to a major-league baseball game, any parents or siblings attend would have to pay their own way, but the Scouts’ entrance fees would be covered by the Pack.)
When you join the Pack, there is also a one-time registration fee for the Boy Scouts of America. This fee is pro-rated depending on when in the year your Scout joins and after the first year, the Pack pays the yearly registration fee. Boys also have the option of receiving Boy’s Life Magazine, a monthly publication for Cub & Boy Scouts.
Each Scout is responsible for their own uniform. For more information, please see our UNIFORMS page.
