Belt Loops & Activity Awards

In addition to the usual Ranks, Requirements & Electives that the Scouts can earn during the course of the year’s Scouting program, there are additional awards that can be earned as well.

These range from outdoor awards to belt loops for academic and athletic achievements. Depending on the award, there are different levels and requirements for Scouts of each Rank level. There are even awards the whole Pack can earn as a unit! We’ve listed some of the more common awards available to Cub Scouts below, click on the links below to get the award requirements. Once you’ve completed all the requirements for any of them, be sure to let your Den Leader know!

And Adult Leaders, just because you’re helping the boys earn all this cool stuff, don’t think the BSA’s forgotten about you too! It’s important to lead by example, and show the boys that Scouting is a learning process for Leaders too, that’s why BSA developed their Adult Leader Award Knots. They’ve got Knots for almost everything you do for the Pack. (See the last link at the bottom of this page for more infomation on how to add these to your uniform!)
