Adult Leader Awards (Knots)

With so much time spent on making sure our Scouts experience a worthwhile Scouting experience, sometimes we forget that this is a learning and rewarding journey for our Adult Leaders as well!

In recognition of service and success to the Scouting ideals, the BSA has a host of  awards available for Scouting Leaders in the form of Leader Knots. There is an award available for almost every service you can provide as a Pack Leader. Awards are tracked by the Cubmaster, Committee Chair or Pack Trainer and submitted to District once all the requirements are completed. (Click through each one for their individual requirements, along with a checklist card to keep track of your completions.)

The list below shows only the most common Awards earned/worn by Cub Scout Leaders, but there are a variety of others for different aspects of the Scouting program. Click HERE for a complete list.

NOTE: Adult Leader Awards Knots are worn in rows over the left breast pocket, with the loop laying on top facing the center of your chest.
